Effective communication is essential for keeping candidates informed, and our platform follows a structured hierarchy of notifications to ensure messages are delivered efficiently.
Default Notification Method: Email
By default, emails are always enabled as the primary mode of communication. All users will receive notifications via email unless they are unsubscribed.
Notification Priority Order
If a worker is subscribed to multiple communication channels (app, email, and text), the platform follows this order of priority:
App Notifications (Highest Priority) β If a candidate has downloaded and logged into the app, notifications will be sent there instead of via text.
Text Messages (Lower Priority) β Text messages are only sent if the candidate is not using the app or has unsubscribed from app notifications.
Note: A Twilio account is required for text messaging. For more information, see this article.
Email Notifications (Priority N/A) β Emails remain active at all times unless unsubscribed and serve as a backup to other channels.
How to Allow Text Notifications
If a candidate prefers to receive text messages instead of app notifications, an admin must unsubscribe them from app notifications by following these steps:
Navigate to the Candidate Profile.
Go to the Subscription Tab.
Unsubscribe the candidate from the app.
Once removed from app notifications, the platform will default to sending text messages instead.
Key Takeaways
Emails are always enabled as the default communication method.
App notifications take precedence over text messages if the candidate has downloaded the app.
To allow text notifications, an admin must unsubscribe the candidate from the app via their profile.
By managing subscriptions correctly, we ensure that candidates receive notifications through their preferred channel while maintaining seamless communication.
