How do we set up Twilio?

If your platform uses Twilio for text notifications, you will want to ensure that your account is registered correctly.

Every Twilio account should have a customer profile, which should have an associated brand profile.

Each brand profile should have a mixed campaign. A campaign is the use case for sending messages.

Finally, each campaign should have an associated phone number.

Let’s look at just how to set this up.

  1. Set up TrustHub

    1. Select “Direct Consumer”

  2. Submit your profile for review – keep in mind that verification may take up to 24 hours.

  3. Create a brand

  4. Register the brand

    1. Select the options shown in the image below. If you feel you should select a different option, please contact the WOLF team to discuss. Please note that there is a one-time brand registration fee of $4 USD.

After completing the above 4 steps, you should have a Registered status, a Brand registration SID, a TrustHub A2P bundle SID, a Connected Customer Profile SID, and an External brand ID.

Once you have those, you can continue with the process. As previously mentioned, each brand profile should have a mixed campaign.

  5. Create a new A2P campaign

    1. Selected “Mixed”- for the mixed campaign, there is a $10 monthly fee which is in addition to the standard text messaging charges.

  6. Create a new messaging service

    1. Provide campaign descriptions (see examples in the image below)

    2. Select that message content would include embedded links

    3. Share how users will opt in (see the image below)

    4. Provide opt in keywords (Start, Notify, Yes, etc.) and opt in message (see the image below)

  7. Register the phone number

If you have questions at any point during the registration process, don’t hesitate to reach out to WOLF.
