In addition to Markets, there are two other essential components: Pipelines and Stages. These elements play crucial roles in the overall structure and functionality of market ecosystems.
Pipelines: Mapping the user Journey
Pipelines outline the journey users undertake through various phases of the onboarding process.
They are categorized into three distinct types: candidate, client and order.
The candidate pipeline is designed to track the progression of individual candidates through various stages of the onboarding process. Client and order pipelines will be available at a later date.
One of the key features of pipelines is their ability to define actions and outcomes at each stage of the process. This functionality ensures transparency and accountability, as users are aware of expectations and next steps.
Stages: Establishing the Building Blocks of Your Pipeline
Stages are what make up pipelines, and are a fundamental component within the onboarding process, representing various steps that your team defines.
For candidates, stages serve as a roadmap, allowing them to identify their current stage in the onboarding journey and what next steps are. Some of these stages typically encompass milestones such as initial application, interview, credentialing, background checks etc.
Clear communication regarding stage transitions and associated requirements empowers candidates to navigate the process confidently, fostering a positive experience.
Creating Pipelines and Stages
Keep in mind that the progression from stages to pipelines is interconnected; each relies on the other for existence and functionality. To build a robust market that encompasses all essential components, it's crucial to adopt a bottom-up approach.
We recommend initiating the process by creating a stage as the first step. Then, proceed to develop a pipeline, which relies on the output of the stage. Finally, create the market, which in turn utilizes the input provided by the pipeline. This structured approach ensures the smooth and effective progression towards establishing a thriving market ecosystem.
NB: A market can operate independently without the addition of pipelines or stages.
Accessing these features is straightforward: navigate to Configuration and scroll to Business Setup, where you'll find distinct tabs for each feature.
Creating a Stage:
To create stages, navigate to the Stages tab within Configuration, and fill in essential details such as name, description, color assignment, and use case. It's important to note that a stage can only be deleted if it hasn't yet been added to a pipeline.
Once these components are configured, users will have visibility within the onboarding process.
Creating a pipeline:
From the Configuration menu, select Pipelines, and enter essential details such as Pipeline name, use case (whether it's for job seekers, clients, or orders. Currently only job seeker use cases are functional), and Stages (such as application, interview, assessment, etc.). Additionally, pipelines can be deleted if they haven't been added to a market yet.
A kanban view of stages is also available, allowing for easy visualization and management. Candidates can be added to the kanban board by clicking 'New' and inputting the pipeline stage and candidate name, with the flexibility to move candidates between stages as needed.

Filtering Workforce by Stages or Pipelines
Additionally, the platform offers the flexibility to filter workforce based on markets or pipelines, enhancing organization and efficiency. To do this, navigate to the Workforce tab, select "All Workforce," then click on "Filter Workforce" and filter for either "Market" or "Pipeline."
By following these straightforward steps, users can streamline their segmentation and onboarding processes.
