In the fast-paced world of workforce management, invoices are the lifeblood of your financial operations. They represent the value exchanged for services rendered, and in the complexity of managing multiple orders, it's not uncommon to find yourself with unwanted invoices.

Fear not! We've got you covered with a simple guide on how to efficiently dispose of those unwanted invoices and maintain a streamlined billing process.

Deleting Empty Invoices

First things first, if you have empty invoices that you wish to remove, you can do so by following the simple instructions within this article.

Managing Unwanted Invoices with line Items

Now, what if you have invoices with items on them that you'd like to dispose of? In this case, we recommend creating a "Trash Invoice" for each client whose invoices you wish to discard. Here's how:

  • Log in to Your Account

  • Navigate to Invoices

  • Locate Unwanted Invoices

  • Rename the Invoice: Give unwanted invoice for each client a clear and distinct name like "Trash Invoice” - to easily identify its purpose. To do this, click on the action icon to preview and edit invoice, scroll down and update the invoice name.

  • Transfer Unwanted Items: Moving forward, whenever a new invoice is created for a particular client, you can review the items in the client’s trash and transfer any item you’d like to the new invoice. Additionally, in the future, if there’s an item that you don't want on an invoice for this client, you can move it to “Trash Invoice”.

By following this method, you keep a record of the items you removed and the client they were associated with, while also maintaining a clean and organized invoicing system. This way, when new invoices are created for the client, you can either move desired items from the "Trash Invoice" or simply transfer items from the new invoice that you wish to discard.

And there you have it—a clean and efficient way to handle both empty and unwanted invoices in your workforce management platform.
