Location needs to be enabled in order for a candidate to check in or check out of a shift on the native app. This is one way of ensuring that candidates are clocking in and out from where they are actually scheduled to work.

Enabling location means that candidates would need to go into their settings and give the app access or permission to utilize location, if they did not do so when the app was first downloaded.

If access to location wasn’t previously granted, upon check in, the candidate will be prompted to enable location. This prompt has two action items, “cancel” and “ok”. If they click on cancel then they wouldn’t be able to check in, and would need to manually go into their device’s settings to give the app access to location. If they click Ok, then they would automatically be directed to where they need to go to give the app access/ permission to use location.

We highly recommend that candidates set their app location configuration to “always allowed”.
