Credentials can be essential to obtaining the right job. They show that a candidate has the knowledge and skills that are required of a particular job type.
Newly uploaded credentials can be manually approved or rejected on the platform, should they not be within the standards of your organization, or just the wrong credential being uploaded. By rejecting a credential, your internal team has the opportunity to send a message to the jobseeker to let them know why this credential has been rejected and that it needs to be re-uploaded. The candidate will be notified via email that their credential has been rejected and why.
Email Notification
The candidate will see a red icon with an exclamation mark that indicates the credential has been rejected.
The credential that needs approval will display a yellow icon with an exclamation mark. Once a credential has been approved the icon goes away; oh and guess what! there’s no limit on the number of times a credential can be rejected and re-uploaded.
When a credential has already been approved, candidates can add a new version of that same credential and save, they will be able to see two tabs, one that says “New” and the other that says “Current”. If they click on the tab that says “New” they will see the icon indicating that the credential needs approval, while if they click on “Current” they'll see that that credential was previously approved as the action icon is no longer there.

Versions of Credentials
There are two different versions of credentials, credentials that require manual approval and credentials that are automatically approved when uploaded, but first let’s look at how we create a credential.
To create a new credential, it’s as easy as navigating to Configuration -> Candidate Onboarding Setup and then “Credentials” where you can see “Add new Credential”. You’ll fill in the necessary information about that credential; like name, description etc, and you can choose to add a credential that requires approval by selecting “Manual'' for the approval method. If you don’t wish to add a credential that requires approval, you select “Not Required” as the approval method.
After an Internal team member has created a credential, it is saved to the list of credentials that are already on the platform. Candidates will then be able to select this credential and upload any documents or answer any questions based on that credential.
