Many organizations establish teams dedicated to specific regions to enhance their operational efficiency and responsiveness. This article delves into the concept of regional division, exploring its significance and benefits in today’s dynamic business landscape.
Assigning team members to a region:
You can assign a region to an internal team member by assigning them to the counties within that region. To assign a county to an internal team member it’s as easy as navigating to “Configuration” -> and selecting “Your Team”, from there you can choose a specific team member to do this for by clicking on “View and Configure” and then “Rights”; from the dropdown for “Map Counties”, you can choose the counties you want to have mapped to that team member.
Understanding subscription of order:
A team member would receive updates and be able to view orders that they are subscribed to. If you are not subscribed to an order you will not be able to see that order or receive updates about it.
How internal team members get subscribed to an order:
If an internal team member has counties mapped to them, the order coming in is among one of those counties; then they would get mapped.
If an internal team member does not have any counties mapped: They would be considered a “Global rights” team member. Meaning they would be mapped to all orders.
Lets see an example:
User A is mapped to New York county and an order for New Jersey comes in, User A wouldn't receive an update about this order.
User B has no counties mapped and the same order for New Jersey comes in, this user would be updated about the order and would therefore be mapped.
