It is really simple to customize the onboarding experience for your candidates, and make sure that you get any information you might need from them when they are signing up. To do so, go to Configuration and then scroll to Onboarding Setup. From Onboarding Setup select Candidate Onboarding Set up.
By default the platform will ask for the candidate to upload a resume or manually create their profile. You can select if you want them to manually enter their education and/or experience during onboarding (if not, they will be able to add more to their profile once onboarding is complete). The platform requires the candidate to provide a name, address, and phone number. You can decide if you would like to ask for their date of birth, gender, national ID/SSN, a profile picture, or NPI number (if you are in the healthcare industry).
All of the above is considered basic information.
Now, here comes the fun part–diving into configuring the candidate onboarding process to meet your expectations.
First, will you be collecting credentials or certifications from your candidates? If so, read on. If not, you can skip to the next paragraph. To collect credentials, scroll to the bottom of the page where you’ll see “Add new form” and select “Credentials Tab.” Once you’ve added the Credentials Tab, all you have to do is give it a title and description, then you can add new credentials by filling in the required information.
Next, will you be asking candidates for more information than what they’ve already provided? This could be anything from providing an emergency contact number to asking what other languages they speak, and so forth. You also might not need more information at all. But if you do, here’s how you can configure those questions. At the bottom of the page, you will see the option to add a new form. Once you click the button, you’ll see you have to give a title and description to the form before you can start adding fields (questions). You can have as many fields in a form as you’d like and more than one form during the onboarding process, though we recommend keeping it simple so candidates don’t get discouraged or confused and drop out before completion.
