You may stop a candidate from being notified about opportunities by utilizing a couple different methods. It just depends on what the end result you or they are looking for is. Are they leaving the platform indefinitely? Do they still want to receive notifications for other jobs, just not one in particular? Keep this in mind when reviewing the options below.
Unsubscribe them from the notification channel.
By going to Reports>Subscriptions, you can select the communication channel in question and unsubscribe the candidate from that channel of communication.
You can also unsubscribe a candidate from notification channels by going to their profile, then going to the Subscription tab.
Rank them lower
You can go to the candidates profile, find the candidate in question and lower their star rating level. Since the platform searches for the highest ranking first, by lowering their star rating you will help the platform to overlook the candidate for a specific job type. Just click on the Interview tab on the candidate’s profile.
Unauthorize the candidate for a job type
Similar to the above example in lowering the candidate’s star rating, right next to it you can unauthorize the candidate for a job, so they will not be eligible for that job in the future. This will allow them to still receive notifications for the jobs they do want to be notified about.
Delete the candidate
Perhaps a candidate has decided they no longer wish to work for your platform and is still getting notifications. Depending on which version your platform is on you will be able to delete the candidates profile in a different area.
In Version 1
You go to the candidate's profile and scroll to the bottom to enter in the word “delete” and then click delete.
In Version 2
You can delete the candidate’s profile by going to their profile, clicking on the subscription tab, and entering the words delete, and click the delete button.
We strongly advise against deleting candidates.
