What came first, the chicken or the egg? It is a question as old as time that has new relevance when it comes to labor marketplaces. What will come first--the candidates or the clients?
We recommend building a pool of qualified candidates for the job types you are offering before bringing clients on board. But how can you do that?
One way is a little trick called “seeding the platform.” With this trick, you place a representative job type on the platform--an attractive location, great pay rate, and so forth.
Then, you share it where job seekers are lurking. Every job order on the platform comes with a shareable link. To find it, simply go into the orders tab and select the order in question and click on view. When brought to your order view, you will see a curved arrow facing upward and to the right of the screen, on a button. Click this button and you will see a URL to utilize however you would like. You can send it in a message, or an email campaign perhaps. You will also see icons for Facebook and Linkedin you can click on which will allow you to post on your respective accounts with each.
You could add it to job posts you’ve made on Indeed or Craigslist--wherever your job seekers are looking for work. The goal is to draw them into your platform, and get them authorized!
Of course, there may be times once the ball is rolling with your platform that you want to bring more job seekers in. That’s great! Luckily for you, at that time you’ll have some real orders that you can share the custom URL for.
