The timesheet will show the time checked in and out. It will also show the time of the break, and how long the break lasted. If your platform is calculated to deduct break time from total hours worked, this will reflect in the candidate’s pay.

For example, let’s say there is a shift from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm at a pay rate of $10/hour.

The candidate checked in and out as per scheduled and took a 1 hour break during their shift.

This candidate’s timesheet would show all of this information. It would not show that they checked in at 10:30 am or out at 5:30 pm to deduct the time. Rather, they would simply be paid for 8 hours of work, instead of 9.

That said, if the total hours is updated on the timesheet, this will override the time deducted and the platform will take it as the “final word.”
