The job opportunities filter feature is optional for both zip code and job type. That means that you can have both filters on, both off, or only one or the other active.

Once turned on, the feature will only work for job opportunities posted from there and any future opportunities--it will not retroactively apply to orders placed before it was released.

These filters are visible wherever a candidate can view job opportunities--on both their dashboard and opportunities tabs. Admins will also be able to use these filters when they view opportunities on a candidate’s behalf.

If you have both filters turned on, it is important to note that if you select both, they use the “AND” operator--that is if a candidate is searching for “Dentist” (job type) with the filter “10001” (Manhattan zip code) at the same time, the platform will filter for jobs that are both within that zip code and of that job type.

Now, if you select multiple zip codes or job types, then that will use the “OR” operator. For example, if a candidate wants to filter for “waitress,” “bartender,” “barista” job types, then the platform will filter for job opportunities for those 3 job types and exclude any others.
