Default Job Description Configuration

Our goal is to have creating an order be a quick and smooth process. In a number of industries, taking the time to write out a job description may not be necessary, as the candidate can infer exactly what they’ll be doing from the name of the job itself.

So, for when that is the case, there are two different configuration options.

Option 1: This is when, as mentioned above, a description of the job can be easily inferred from the job title alone and adding a job description may not be necessary. But what if you want to give clients space to add additional notes or information about the job to be done? To configure this, you’ll want to be sure that there is a default job description entered, that autofill is on, and that editing is required. See the screenshot below:

Option 2: This configuration can be enabled when you feel like the client does not need to see the job description--for when you feel there is a 99.9% chance that they will not want or need to make any changes and are more interested in a quick ordering process. If the job type has a default job description entered, autofill on, and editing not required, then the description tab will be skipped on the platform--as long as there are no custom job order questions mapped to that job type. That being said, the client could go back to the description tab to make edits, should they wish. See the screenshot below:

It is important to note that if the client has placed an order before, the description will fill with the client’s own description.

We hope that you will find this update useful in creating a more seamless ordering experience for your clients. You can read more about how to configure job types here.
