As the famous saying goes, "You have two ears and one mouth, so you should listen twice as much as you speak" and we at Wolf have been listening! We've heard your comments that sometimes the sign-up process for your workforce can be a little lengthy/cumbersome, so we've revamped the process to make it quicker and more efficient. Now, instead of navigating through multiple screens, candidates will just need to upload their resume, confirm their information, and set-up the messenger bot. What used to take 5+ screens can now be done from 4! What makes this process tick is a robust document AI. This Document AI takes the resume and understands information and pre-fills the profile for the candidate. But enough talk, let's see how it works!
Signing up
At the start, signing up on your platform is the same process. Candidates will put their email address, password, and select that they are "looking for work."Now, the first thing they will do is upload their resume. You'll see that the system now is parsing their name, address, birth date, and phone number directly from their resume. They can, of course, modify any of the information if needed.
Communication Channels
On the next screen, they'll configure the communication channel, namely, how will the platform communicate with the candidate?
Preferences
Now the platform will ask which job types the candidate believes they are a best fit for, so it can start the learning process.
Additional Information
Lastly, the platform will ask for any custom data you have configured for candidates.
โ
And there you have it, the entire sign-up process now only takes 2-3 screens to sign-up on the platform.
Here are some of the of the behind the scene changes that make this whole process tick:
Apart from the UI changes there are lots of subtle changes from the previous version.
1. Strong Fallbacks Handling: We now handle fallbacks in a much more robust manner. If the address is not selected from the suggestions, we still parse it on the backend to ensure we get correct geo-coordinates for the candidate and map them to the correct city and state.
2. Channel Agnostic Approach: We understand some of you might use messenger, while others might want just email or text messages or even native apps. We created one screen where your candidate can choose from the options that are available within your platform.
3. Device Support: We have created a smoother transition experience. When you click submit, the next section comes up instantly without the page reloading every time. Now the page reloads every time you click submit or next. We have made the page load extremely fast and which reduces the impact on experience and makes the transition almost seamless. The reason for this sacrifice is two-pronged: 1. The new system is robust and would not break even if used from a basic smartphone or old computers (this caused lots of issues in the previous version). 2. The new system lets you go back and forward from the browser tab, giving it an overall better and more consistent experience. We will also be able to redirect them to the URL to start exactly where they left off in the future.
4. Stepping Stone for Custom Onboarding: This new version is a stepping stone for allowing you to customize the flow of onboarding with your own questions and forms. Those will be coming soon on this version of on-boarding as well.
Hopefully, this will ensure that more candidates will complete the process and you'll have a larger workforce on your platform now!
Happy Staffing!
