When a candidate checks out from a job order, you may want to collect data from the candidate regarding the job experience. For this, you can create a number of custom data fields.
From Configuration, if you go to Custom Data and click on Add new custom data, you will see that there is now the option to tick Timesheets under the Target Users. In the Question/Subject box you can create a question, for example ‘Did you use any materials?’, or ‘Upload a photo of your transportation receipt’. You can also select the response format in the Input Type box, for example a drop-down list, checkbox for multiple selections, or file uploads. These questions are simply created here, but you will need to map them to a job type to activate them.
You go to Job Types, and click on the Update button of a job type, for example Bartender, then go to the tab that says Order Form. There is a section called Post Checkout Questions--here you can select the created questions that you will want to ask candidates when they check out from this job type. However, this will only apply to future job orders for this job type, so any job orders already created but are in the future will not have these questions added. Clients and candidates cannot change these questions at all, just as with custom data that is asked during onboarding or on job orders
So, when you place a new job order for that job type, let’s say, Bartender, and a candidate is assigned to the job, they will be prompted to answer the questions you have added to this job type once they check in to the job order. Their answers to the questions will be saved and available for admins to view--either on the candidates profile in their schedule, or if you as the admin go to Mission on your main menu. In the upcoming jobs on this page, you will see if a candidate has checked in for the job order, and then if you click on the More button and click on Info, you will see the responses to the questions asked. Admins can change the responses, and this will be updated on the candidate’s profile as well.
These questions with their responses will be visible to admins on other pages as well on their dashboard, such as in the Accounting menu under Hour Approvals, you can go to the candidate and click on their hours, and the information box will include the questions with responses. In Accounting Reports→Timesheets, the questions and responses will be included in this report. Remember, this is an optional feature, and it may be useful if you’ve been wanting to collect data from candidates after their shifts. That being said, if you do create these questions, they will by default be asked of every candidate working that particular job type.
