Updating a delegate user’s password is essential for ensuring users can continue to access their accounts without interruptions. Delegate users, administrators and clients all have the ability to update passwords, and the process is straightforward whether you are managing your own account or assisting others. Administrators and clients also have the ability to update delegate users names.
For Delegate Users:
Delegate users can easily update their own password directly from their dashboard or before they log in. To do this, follow these simple steps:
Dashboard
Navigate to the Account Tab: From your dashboard, click on the "Account" tab.
Enter Current Password: To begin the password update process, you will first need to enter your current password for verification.
Enter New Password: After entering your current password, type in your new password. Be sure that your new password meets the security requirements outlined by the system.
Reconfirm New Password: To confirm accuracy, re-enter the new password.
Submit: Once both the new password and confirmation match, click “Submit” to complete the process.
NB: Only admins and clients have the ability to update delegate user names.
Password Reset Before Login
On the login screen, click Forgot Password.
Enter your registered email address.
You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
For Admins (Updating on Behalf of Delegate Users):
Admins have the ability to update a delegate user's password on their behalf, which can be particularly useful when a delegate user is unable to update their password or if there's a need for an admin to assist in this process. Here’s how an admin can update a delegate’s password and name:
Access the Client Account: Begin by navigating to the client account you wish to manage.
Click the "Take Action" Button: From the client account dashboard, click the “Take Action” button.
Select Delegate Users: From the available options, select “Delegate Users” to view the list of delegates associated with that account.
View and Configure User: Next to the delegate whose password needs updating, click “View and Configure.”
Update Default Password and/or Name: In the password section, update the default password to the new one. In the name section, update the user name as necessary.
Click Submit: After entering the new password or name, click “Submit” to confirm the change.
How to Update Delegate User Passwords from the Registered Users Report
Navigate to the Reports tab.
Open the Registered Users Report.
Locate the delegate user by entering their email address in the search field.
Click the Edit button next to the user’s details.
Enter the new password in the provided field.
Click Update Password to save the changes.
Client-Side Update:
Delegate users' passwords and name can also be updated from the client side, which follows the same steps as the admin process. To update the password or user name from the client side:
Navigate to the Delegate Users Tab: From your account, go to the "Delegate Users" tab.
Follow the Same Process as Admins: The steps from here are identical to those that admins follow. You’ll be prompted to enter your current password, the new password, and a reconfirmation before submitting the changes.
